We've been MIA

So I have been MIA, I am not really sure why, but I have. I realized I have not blogged in almost 3 weeks, the only thing I can chalk it up too is summer! We have been at the Pool, VBS, and Minnesota... here are 5 of my favorite pics... from that point on I will be posting regularly :)

All Boy

As if there was ever any question that my son was NOT all boy it was proven today by his love for all things explosive! My husband loves when things explode. To light the fire pit he pours gas on the fire then launches a match. Well the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

The 4th of July brings a lot of things to my mind. BBQ's, checkered table cloths, watermelon, etc, but when you say the 4th I always go to fireworks. And I like the cheap ones. Well today we bought our first (and I am confident not our last) package of fireworks. Today we bought Pop its. It has provided HOURS of entertainment for JH. And as soon as Eric was home they were both going nuts. He loves it.. and i do me LOVES. Let the boyhood continue....

Today's Challenge

So it is officially summer. Our days have consisted of the park, the pool, lots of friends, and popsicles. And I would not have ad it ANY other way! However I am lacking in ONE area... I have not taken care of myself. I cannot think of the last time I put on make up or flat ironed my hair. And although I am confident NO ONE CARES, I think I am starting too.

I had THREE separate conversations today with other moms we talked about our lack of trying. Which I am not chalking up to coincidence . I was headed to one of Eric's coworkers house in yesterdays yoga pants, Eric's t-shirt, and Sunday's pony tail ( I did shower but had not done my hair). The scary part was I was completely fine with it. Eric was in a suit, JH was adorable in his monogrammed outfit, and I looked like a bum. All because I didn't care! What is wrong with me.

I have been ready Kelly's blog for a long time, She is forever going from place to place and does it in her Sunday best. She "dressed down" the other day and that consisted of a jean skirt and AK t-shirt... really... that is a good day for me:) Just take a look at her from a recent play date

Starting tomorrow that is gonna change. For my own personal self worth, so my husband likes coming home to me, and for my son, who sees that it is important to take pride in who you are what you look like! Good by sloppy Kendra.... HELLO Gorgeous!

It Consumes Me

Oh what have i been doing the past few days... Here ya have it!

Garage Sale, Garage Sale, Garage Sale.... oh my! When I want to do this again, remind me not too!

On top of that I have a craft fair tomorrow :) I have LOST my mind!

Wonderful Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend full of water, fun, sun, and friends. It started of Saturday morning with a trip to the Indy 500 parade. We went with our friends the Jahn's and this is our 2nd year going. It was so much fun and Nolan and John Hunter enjoyed it SOOO much!

Following the parade we headed to the pool, which is where we spent MUCH of our weekend. Twice a day for 3 days straight... hey, it's the start of summer!

We went to some friends to watch the UFC fight and it was a blast, with the exception JH was up to 1 AM... he was soooo tried! But he took good naps and he is getting caught up... can you tell!

We also purchased a slip in slide (well it is what JH picked out with his money) And he has LOVED it. Daddy got in the action and lubed it up with some Palmolive!

All in all it was a great weekend, today was my last day of school and schools out for the summer! I will feel like it is summer once I get through the yard sale the weekend and the craft show on Saturday... give me strength LORD!
