MOPS 2010 Slide Show

Here is a slide show from MOPS... if you wanna keep watching you will see a pic of John Hunter and his BFF Tate!

He's Been Faithful

There is an old Sandi Patty song that says:

He’s Been Faithful

In my moments of fear
Through every pain every tear
There’s a God whose been faithful to me
When my strength was all gone
When my heart had no song still in love
He’s proved faithful to me
Every word he’s promised is true
What I thought was impossible
I see my God do

He’s been faithful,
Faithful to me
Looking back his love and mercy I see
In my heart I have questioned your will
Even failed to believe yet,
He’s been faithful, faithful to me.

I remember this song from my childhood. But it seems that today I remembered it. I have had this overwhelming feeling of not getting things done. While on vacation I asked God to remove the laziness in my life. I have been so discouraged as of late with so many things. Money, God's Will, parenting a toddler, and the list could go on. But today I was sitting at the doctor with a son who has bronchitis, and started ticking through my to do list and almost came to tears.

I did not even know where to begin. It is our last week of school which apparently means that I have a LOT to do that I did not know about! So in the midst of a fog I started singing the words to the song. Faithful to me! He has been so faithful. Mentally I started replacing my today list with my gratitude list.

I have been waiting so something for over a month now. I was very discouraged and thought that it would never happen. When I went to the mailbox to check the mail it was there... I just cried in the middle of street! Today he has been faithful and tomorrow my God will still be there!

Just a little to chew on this Monday, how have has he been faithful to you?

Black Tie

we had a black tie event on Monday night.. it was a great time and we were treated like royalty! here is a pic... when we get a better one (one not taken by us I will post it!)

Enjoy

Our last night in Boca

Our last night in Boca was an adventure. We had a blast. They do this big off campus ordeal and let me just say they know how to do it right! We went by tour bus to the amphitheater in Mitzer Park to hear the dueling pianos.

When we arrived there was a huge tent and a large wait staff ready to hand out carnival type foods, pop corn, pretzel, etc. The food was great the atmosphere was excellent and the company was divine!
They played lots of music and we sang along. It was a muggy hot but we were treated with an amazing dessert. They had ice cream trucks everywhere... you just went up and took your pick. I really wanted to get the spider man one in honor of JH but Eric thought it might be best if I stuck with something more ADULT!
And guess who was there... Snoopy. We had our pic taken with him and it was hoot. Poor thing I know he was so hot. Here is a pic from our iphone. When we get the professional ones back I will post them as well!

All in all it was a great night and we had an amazing trip. I am typing this from the airport and we are ready to go home and see our babe! We have missed him bunches and would like to thank Gigi and Grandad for taking care of him for us! We love you guys!

Moments with God.... at the Beach!

I'm sitting on the pool deck right next the the ocean this morning. There is supposed to be a strong chance of rain this afternoon so I took morning to soak up some sun. Truth be told, I probably don't need too much more sun, but I am drawn too it!

I love to people watch while here... I have seen a LOT of funny things. I just sent this text to my girls "Things I learned from the beach today: Bikinis are not acceptable in the 8th month of pregnancy. When your pushed out belly button is large enough for its own bra, it SHOULD be covered" The worst part of people watching is tonight I will see ALL these people at dinner! That is when the real begins. I love it!

Anywhoo... I was sitting here and looking out at the vastness of the ocean and felt the gentle breeze on my skin. Something about knowing how big my God is. I recently heard it said then when in the midst of a storm do not tell God how big your storm is, tell your storm how BIG God is! It's true. I have had time to pray, reflect, and just be with God on this trip! I have come away with a freshness that was LONG overdue!

I want more for myself, my family, and my life. I am over being tired, being lazy, and living in the mundane. I was not promised tomorrow, heck not even next hour. But I was called. There is a calling on my life to do for God. In my home, in my neighborhood, in my church, and in my world. How will this ever happen with a tired soul? Before we left Eric and I prayed that God would renew our hearts for each other and our love for Him. We have had some tough conversations, we have dreamed, planned, and basked in His goodness. We are blessed! I could hear "Great is Thy Faithfulness" playing as a soundtrack of our life! We have come so far in this year! Satan is NO longer winning the hearts of this White House. We are sold out to him, and will not be lost in the busyness of this life! That you can hang your hat on!

I love ear buds. I love plugging them into my iphone and just singing. However I started cracking up when I realized that I was singing out loud. I am sure the lady next to me with her Metlife bag is probably blogging about the crazy girl that was singing praise to God . I was singing "How He loves Us" (Aaron Pelsue version) and these words just resonated with me!

"I don't have time to maintain these regrets when
I think about the way He loves us!"

The past is written my future is secure! I cannot think about my yesterdays! I can think about today. I will no longer borrow problems from tomorrow for today has enough of its own! All I can think about is the way he loves ME!

A great start to a great vacation

I am typing this blog from 33,000 feet above land. It's the small things like wifi in an airplane. My parents arrived last night and it did my heart some good to see them. We hung out and just played... and enjoyed a wonderful evening!
This morning we were up with the birds packing the last of our bags! We went to breakfast at Cracker Barrell and then on to the airport!

It was so hard for me to say good bye to John Hunter, but we are confident he is in good hands! We just got the picture of him with his new skateboard and new car seat... I think he will be FINE!
When we arrived at the airport we heard an annoucment that our flight was overbooked. They were offering free tix to those willing to be bumped. So we too them up on the offer. Here's what we got out of the deal!

We are now flying into Orlando then taking a convertible down the coast to Boca. They are paying for the car. Then we EACH recieved TWO round trip tickets to anywhere in the contiential US for the next year! Looks like we will be headed to CO for Sarah's wedding in Novemeber! Oh and I think I forgot to mention this before, but we are sitting in first class as well!

Think this is a pretty good start to a great vacation! Thank you AirTran!

Wonderful Mother's Day

Well I dont have any pictures to post, but we just had a great mother's day! It was just our little family of three, but the day was great!

My husband did a lot of things on my honey-do list. I am so glad they are done and am so grateful that he did them! Thank you Eric for making me a MOM and thanks for putting up with me! I love you so much!

John Hunter I am beyond blessed to be your mommy. You have filled a space in my heart and I am madly in love with you! You make each day and adventure and you are willing to go with me wherever! You laugh is contagious, your smile melts my heart, and you heart for the Word of God is amazing! I love you buckaroo...

Here are some of the things my boys did for me:
Mushroom and Chorizo Sausage Omelets for breakfast
Shampooed the carpets
Stained the ENTIRE fence and deck (oh it looks so amazing)
My favorite dinner-- sautéed shrimp, steamed broccoli, and crab cakes!

Love you guy!
