Pumpkin Patch #2

So apparently my parents saw this at the pumpkin patch....

Well not really but they just sent it to me! What would I do if I drove up and saw that in their front yard. Rest assured I wouldn't because the Homeowners Association would not allow it!! (or their neighbors, oh wait that is me! )

Happy Fall Y'all!!!

Pumpkin Pie

John Hunter, Gigi, and Granddad went to the pumpkin patch on Friday! They had a great time and to this day John Hunter is still talking about "Pumpkin pie"... which is his way of saying pumpkin!!!

Mom said he loved picking up all the pumpkins and tell her how heavy they were. He loved apples too...he carried around the bag of apples from the time they left till he got home. To the point he even took one apple to bed! There were several bus loads of kids there so I guess we will have to make another trip to do the rides and play in the hay:)

After the pumpkin patch they went to Dairy Queen and John Hunter enjoyed an ice cream home from Granddad.

Thanks Gigi and Granddad for a fun day... love you lots!

Tomorrow we are going to celebrate Raleigh's Birthday... however John Hunter calls her "Raleigh Bird"... John Hunter and Raleigh Bird are big buddies and LOVE each other lots (although Brooklyn is now making an impression). Anyway I told Angie that i would make her cake for the Veggie Tales party and I just finished so I wanted to share it with you guys. Bob is Chocolate and Larry is classic white. I sure do hope she likes it... I have a funny feeling that she will! I have a few other things for the party tomorrow but those pics will have to wait... more to come tomorrow:)

Alphabet Soup Letter "E"

Here are a few of our favorite things that start with the letter "E."

1. Easter.... one of my most Favorite holidays... I love all that it entails, the hats, hymns, and hopping bunnies (UP FROM THE GRAVE HE AROSE)
2. Earrings... today I was cleaning out my jewelry box and I have a LOT of earrings... but i love them all and still want more!
3. Eastern Shore... Eric and I have vacationed here several times we love the area, but it helps that we love our friends the Olavsrud's
4. Esther... I love the book of Esther for so many reasons... if you think Sarah Palin rocks, check out Esther
5. Easy Bake Ovens... don't think I ever had one of these as a kid, but that is my kind of cooking... I do not like cooking, so the words Easy Bake Warm my Heart!
6. Edwin McCain... he is a great singer and his songs bring me back to a time when I fell in love with Eric... we still dance to old Edwin!!
7. Etsy... what a fun website to see how talented everyone is!
8. Early Morning Walks... I like to walk/ run in the morning, but I dont do it often enough... somehow the Lord meets me there... maybe I need to get up in the morning!
9. Energy... that is from John Hunter.. he has this energy that can make you laugh and cry at the same moment!
10.Eric... I saved the best for last here... he is an awesome husband, father, friend, and leader. He is my very best friend and I know wherever life may take me "E" will be there too!

*** I stole this idea from a friend's blog... tune in for next weeks addition of Alphabet Soup***

"No Pee on Thomas"

This is the chant we heard all night as we put on our first pair of big boy undies. "No pee on Thomas" that lasted all about 5 min. until we peed on Thomas. And at that point we started yelling, "Deacon, No Pee." I guess he has not figured out that the wet Thomas gave him away.

Sorry these are not edited... I am having trouble with Kodak Gallery... AHHHHHH! But we will leave you with this:)

Go Tuckey!!!

These are the words we heard for HOURS this past Saturday night. We had the AWESOME privilege of going to the UK game and taking John Hunter. Our friends Kathy and Fred gave us there tickets while Fred recovers from surgery (GET BETTER SOON).

So we started tailgating at 3:00 PM with a wide eyed little blonde boy and left at 11:15 PM with a still wide eyed little blonde boy. John Hunter had so much fun... even though is was SUPER hot. The cool spot came when we went to visit Hayden, Bella, and Emmy. Those kiddos could have played cornhole (or Socks) as Emmy calls it for hours. We met up with our friends the Vance's and Shuck's and then it was time to go into the game.

Over and over John Hunter kept saying "football game" "Go Cats" and "Tucky" which is his way of Saying "Kentucky". He loved the Wildcat from a distance and kept trying to find the Cat. So when the Cat came over close to us Eric took him down to see the Cat. At that point he clung to Eric for dear life and wanted nothing to do with the cat. Isn't that how it goes??

I did not get as many pictures as i would have like, but I am chalking this one up to one of the best family events we have done in a while.

Unc we love you....

As I write this post our family cannot help but cry. Tomorrow Unc (or Matt) Eric's youngER brother is getting deployed to Iraq. He is in the Navy and cannot at this time tell us what and where he is going to be. But we are confident that no matter where he is he is not out the protection of the LORD.

We were so blessed to spend some time at the beach this summer with Unc.... John Hunter may be his biggest fan!

Your prayers would be appreciated for Unc as he enters this time in his life and as well all anxiously await his return home. It's seems fitting that today (9/11) the reason he is going over in the first place he is doing his duty and protecting our Nation.

We love you Unc... we are praying for you daily. You are awesome!

Save the Ta-tas!!!!

Hey Lexington Ladies,

The race for the cure is just around the corner and I wanted to encourage everyone (both here in Lexington and afar) to run it (or walk). I will be running it, but my mom and John Hunter will be walking. I would love to encourage all of you to do the same. Sign ups are this week at Dick's in the mall:) If you are going to Run/Walk let me know and we will all go together.
