Weekend Fun

We had a lot of fun this weekend with our visit from Aunt Anna and Uncle Ben, and as much as we love them John Hunter adores their little dog "Dix-Ski" or Dixie as everyone else calls her! They arrive of Friday afternoon in time for some lunch and play time. We enjoyed some wonderful steaks Friday evening prepared by my hubby and watched a movie!

Saturday we got up to Sunshine and cold weather and went to the Trader's Pointe Creamery. It is an all organic farm with a farmers market on the weekends. It was so cool too see everything there and funny to read the menu. It read "grass fed organic milk" "grass feed organic burger". There was something a little odd about eating up our burger and seeing Ole' Bessie in the field. However the food was excellent. I order JH the yougart and I am still thinking about how yummy it is. Luckliy for us they sell it in the local grocery stores.... in a glass bottle of course... NO PLASTIC!

Anna and I thought this was a room of bread... talked about it for like 20 min. and how we could eat all the bread, finally Eric looked at us like we were idoits and said... It's Cheese Morons! Oh Well, we decided we could eat all that cheese too!
That afternoon Anna and I went to Babies R Us to pick out some thing for Baby Roo. I think we found some WONDERFUL things... and have a good direction to go when Baby Roo decides to reveal the sex!

That night we fixed Pulled BBQ Chicken and homemade coleslaw. I thought I would put the recipe on there for those of you who are looking for something EASY and quicky, but can also be done in the crock pot!
Barbeque Chicken

Ingredients
4-6 pieces chicken (we used boneless breasts)
1 bottle BBQ sauce
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. mesquite seasoning
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2-1 tsp. red pepper flakes

Preparation
Mix BBQ sauce with all ingredients listed under it. Place chicken in crockpot. Pour sauce over all. Cook slowly in crockpot about 4-6 hours on low.

Then we played Balderdash which I kicked everyone's tail at! Sunday we went to church and packed up and headed home! We had a great time with them here and LOVED that they are closer now to us... can't wait to see you guys soon!
